    my husband had a stroke last january and hes still in a nursing home hes having real bad neck pain what causes that or what can you do for it lind.dennis@mchsi.com

    Thanks for your comment. Its very hard to give anyone advice without actually taking a history and examining them. While it sounds like your husband may not be a candidate for chiropractic adjustments, chiropractors have many other tools they can use to help restore motion and relieve pain such as muscle work (soft tissue therapy), mobilization of joints and prescribing exercises he can do on his own or that you can help him with (depending on his mobility level). My advice would be to ask around your friends and acquaintances and get a referral to a trusted chiropractor who uses some of these other tools. See if they will do an on-site visit to the home to evaluate your husband. What is causing the pain and what can be done will depend greatly on examination and history findings.
